Catching up....

I must get better at blogging, I must. I wrote this a few weeks ago...so....here is another catch you up blog followed by more current blogs. We've been crazy busy lately and it seems like we're about to be even busier this next month, so here goes.

Cash is 17 months. My how time flies.
Cash has learned a lot of new words.
These of which I will now list: Ball, Off, Down (he tells you when he's done being held), Me Me Me (which I think means mine), Bap (bath), Eat, Eea (Ear), Eye, Book, Pop, Woof.
His object association and recognition amazes us more and more each day. Example: At his doctor appointment two weeks ago, Dr. Linguist began to put the stethoscope in her ears and before even getting them in place he pointed to his ear and said Eea. She was amazed. She complimented us on working with him and of course how smart he is!! (Sorry bragging Mommy moment alert).

Cash loves bath time more than ever. If he's upset we give him a bath and instantly he's a happy camper. This is great especially when he's sick because it always seems to make him feel better. He prefers the faucet runs the entire duration of the bath, so to appease him we will drain the bath while running the water...to keep the water level just right. (Spoiled much?)

It's amazing to see how much he learns every day. Sesame street is still his favorite. We watch it every day at 10am and of course have it DVR'd for any time during the day.

Cash loves the outdoors. Let me say that again. Cash LOVES outdoors. It is his favorite thing to do, next to bathtime that is. We recently bought a jogging stroller so that Cash can go with us on our nightly jogs. He loves it. In fact the first night he ended up falling asleep halfway into our jog. He gets his feelings hurt if you go outside without him. Barefoot, shirtless, or fully clothed he loves being outside. The other day I was picking weeds and throwing them aside. He was behind me, watching intently. When I glanced back over my shoulder I noticed he had bent down, and had assumed the same squating stance. Except instead of weeds, he was digging in the mulch, and then throwing it aside.

Cash also loves books. Dustin bought him a colors and numbers book and he carries it everywhere.... which is quite a funny sight, seeing it's half his size. He would let you read it 50 times and each time he would act as though it was the first. He loves pointing to things. We're working on pointing and recognition of words. Ball and dog are down pat. Go figure.

As I've blogged before, Cash loves music. He loves strumming Dustin's guitar and listening to the radio. If the radio is on he is dancing. He's recently began to dance and fist pump (pumping his fist in the air as if he's cheering himself on). It is the funniest thing EVER! What's even funnier is last week during worship at church, Dustin got up to lead a song..Cash realizing it was Dustin not only got excited and began waving at his Daddy....but he pumped that little fist of his the whole song. It was appropriate as it was an upbeat song, but everyone in our row and behind us lost it. Here's to praising God with fist pumping :) Oh how I love his innocence.

For now...we'll wrap it up. I'm sure I could go on about him for days...or more. I'm sure I'll have another funny story to tell tomorrow. Love to all who read my bragging Mommy blogs. :) Bye for now.
